Plein Air Group

We hope you can join us for some great sessions painting in the great outdoors this year.

Meeting mainly 2nd Tuesday of the month this year with our first session 24th January.  9.30am to 1.30pm .  Bring your own gear, drinks and food.  Toilets are available at all venues.  If wet postponed until the following Tuesday and if that is wet session will be cancelled.  Let us know your email address if you would like to be informed of sessions, postponements or cancellations.  We usually make a postponement decision by 7.00am on the day and post a notice on RAS Facebook page and send emails by 7.30am.  For information ring Lyn 03 4244665 or Carolyn 03 3128524.

En plein air Painting programme  2017

January 24th Stratford Grove 458 Rangiora Woodend Road home of Jeanette and John Brandts-Geisen, historic homestead and outbuildings, gardens with dray, paddocks with trees and sheep.

 February 14th Sketching Rangiora Street Scenes. Meet at Coffee Culture corner High and Victoria Streets at 9.30am.  Then moving to other venues etc Rangiora District Council, Rangiora Court House, and Rangiora Town Hall.

 March 14th Northbrook chapel and museum, 17 Spark Lane, Rangiora. House, garden, chapel, etc of Dawn and Richard Spark.

 April 11th Elaine Armstrong’s garden, 63 Keetly Place, Ohoka   (autumn garden with beautiful oak trees, chickens, and outbuildings)

 May 9th Matawai Park, 30 King Street, Rangiora.  (meet near the main entrance and toilet block off King Street)

 June 13th Kaiapoi monument, bridge and wharf opposite Kaiapoi library, corner of Williams Street and Raven Quay, Kaiapoi. (Sketching in Kaiapoi library if too wet or cold.)

 September 12th Brick Mill, 1473 Main North Road, Waikuku

 October 17th Rona McKenzie’s garden, 7 Hodgsons Road, Loburn  (a spring garden)

November 14th Trousselot Park, opposite 34 Charles Street, Kaiapoi
